Today is my sister Connie's B-day (just 2 days apart from her husband, Tim)! Connie, are you 25?? I can't believe it! I hope you have a great day today!

Connie, you are a wonderful sister, wife, mother, and friend. I look up to you in so many ways. There are so many qualities you have that I love! You are sensitive and loving and you have such a great sense of humor. You have always been really easy to talk to and you always listen. I love you so much and I hope you have a good date tonight.

HAPPY B-DAY TIM!

Today is my favorite brother-in-law's birthday! Happy Birthday! I am so happy that Connie and Tim found each other. Tim really is a perfect match for Connie and their little Abbey is the funniest and cutest little girl I have ever met. I am so glad Wyatt has such a great cousin to play with and I'm looking forward to meeting the next one!

Tim, it's great having you in the family! Thank you for supporting Connie and supporting us during these last 9 months especially. You have been so helpful and willing to do whatever you can do. You work so hard for your little family and your love and concern for them doesn't go unnoticed. I have really enjoyed moving back and getting to know you better.

A NEW DAY!

Well, today was the start of a new day for me! I made it to the gym!! Yeah! I have been feeling really bad forever because we've been paying each month for this membership and I haven't been able to go. Although Luke is just 2 months old I felt like I better start going or it was never gonna happen! I actually really enjoy the gym because I go to these fun step classes versus the boring treadmill and weights (sorry if anyone out there actually enjoys those). Anyway, everything went well. Wyatt really enjoyed playing with all of the kids and didn't even notice that I wasn't around. Luke sat in a bouncy seat kicking his legs up until just about 5 minutes before I came to get him. After that he was done with the kids and noise and bouncy seat, so when I came to pick them up Luke was crying and ready to go home and eat. On the way home he fell asleep, so I guess it wasn't that bad. I had to take some pictures of the bands they make the kids wear. Wyatt doesn't really like the idea, but it's better to wear them than have some stranger take your kid.

Maybe by next year I'll be swimsuit ready! :)

BEAUTIFUL LADY

For those of you that don't know, my Mom has been in a coma now for 9 whole months! She has come a long way, though, and is fighting to get better! In the beginning she didn't open her eyes, well she didn't do anything at all, but now she will open her eyes and follow with them. Her trach has been removed and she's doing great without that. She hasn't spoken, but we do feel that she has things to say, and that she can understand because she seems to respond with eye blinks and squeezes with her hands! Small steps...

My Mom has always been a very close friend. I have always looked up to her and really appreciate our friendship! She is truly the most selfless person I have ever met. She loves her family and her grandkids more than anything!! I miss talking to her and hearing her laugh the most. Our family has really pulled together since this happened and we have grown closer. We make sure to get together often, but can't help but feel that a very important piece is missing. I love you MoM!

Catching up

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARRIE! For Carrie's 23rd birthday on the 14th we all gathered together at The Cheesecake Factory (everyone but Connie and Tim cause they're in CA) and enjoyed a delicious dinner and cheesecake rather than cake. Carrie said she was all "caked out" and who could blame her? August is a busy month for our family. Cameron's b-day on the 2nd, then Carrie on the 14th, Tim on the 22nd and then Connie on the 24th, and finally Wyatt on the 30th! We had already enjoyed cake for my b-day, Jared's and then Dad's the previous months! Wow! I love you Carrie and I hope you felt special on your day.

GARDEN

Yes, we are attempting to plant a garden, a very small one! Jared is a pro at gardening since he grew up with one, so we'll see what happens. We've both never planted a small one, and we weren't too organized with the placement of the seeds, so stay tuned. Wyatt was really excited about digging in the dirt and was a big help!

LUKE IS 2 MONTHS!

What a cutie he is! Luke had an appointment on the 14th for his shots, which by the way, he did really good, and we found out he now weighs 12 lbs, 11 oz. and is 23 3/4", and is getting a flat head!! Oh no! It's okay, though, we just have to do a little more tummy time. He is smiling and making little noises. What a great baby! Wyatt never stopped moving, and still hasn't stopped, but Luke is pretty content to just sit and look around. Thank goodness!

We've had a great time together and as I was looking through some old pictures, we sure have changed a lot too. We've only gotten better looking :) Jared, thank you for EVERYTHING you do for us. On August 2 we celebrated my brother, Cameron's, 30Th birthday. I had to apologize to my husband several times for not having a totally cool party for his 30Th! Jenny, Cameron's wife had planned a surprise party at XS Salon complete with cool decorations and great catered food. My sister Carrie made a video of family pictures from the time Cameron was little to present. Everything turned out great! It was especially fun to not have any kids with me, to hang out with my husband, and to see lots of family! Hope you had a great night, Cam!
