WHAT A WEEKEND!

Here's what we did...

Thanksgiving lunch over at Wade and Kimber's in Queen Creek--of course I didn't get any good pictures! We had a great time eating and visiting with a ton of family! Wyatt loved playing with cousins in the dirt, and Jared enjoyed (?) a game of football.

Visiting the Webb's in the evening and eating a little more (why not?).

Here I am with my sisters looking mighty full...and no I am not pregnant, but the one in the middle is.

Getting rid of the old brown massage chair--I will not miss it

Wyatt's black eye--what's with this kid and his left eye? He hits that eye all the time.

Jared's last minute decision to remodel the waiting room at his office..
...and the final outcome--after a lot of work and late hours on Jared's part!

...and dirtier!

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!

AN EARLY CHRISTMAS

Well, I knew it would happen and it did. What was I thinking? I have done a little Christmas shopping and since our tree is already up, I decided to put the gifts under the tree, knowing that Wyatt would find them and be curious...but I didn't think it would be the very next day! I bought him a potty training book with Elmo yesterday and wrapped it last night while he was in bed. He didn't waste any time did he? Guess the presents will have to be put out the night before Christmas!
HOPE EVERYONE HAS A HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

6 THINGS YOU WERE DYING TO KNOW ABOUT ME

Thanks to Bryn, I've been tagged.
Here goes...
1. I can't whistle or wink! The harder I try the funnier it gets. Jared says I don't hold my mouth the right way when whistling, but I've tried every way possible. I just can't do it. Winking doesn't come natural to me either. I can almost wink my left eye, but never the right. I look silly trying, so I don't.

2. I don't like taking chances when it comes to eating out, therefore I always get the same thing at restaurants, and I rarely want to try a new restaurant. Hey, if we're gonna spend money on food then I want to know it's good and that I'll like it! I'm pretty serious about it too. I have been known to get really upset when asked to eat at a new place. Just ask Jared.

3. I have a witch face that only my sisters (maybe my brother) have seen. They think it's really good and tell me I look like the witch in Robin Hood. I only do it when it's dark and when I'm tired, and I haven't done it in years. Although Jared has never seen it and has begged and pleaded, I don't plan on doing it anytime soon just for that fact that I look really ugly doing it.

4. I have always loved candy and always will. When I was pregnant with Wyatt a day didn't go by that I didn't have candy. My favorites (in no particular order), Skittles, Snickers...never mind, I like all candy! We'll just leave it at that.

5. Jared and I are NOT cousins, but we do share the same ones. On our first date we realized that my aunt married his uncle. So when we got engaged our family kept saying, "My cousin's marrying my cousin!" It really is a small world.

And finally...
6. Believe it or not, I have been mistaken for a celebrity many times! When my hair was really curly and long I was mistaken for the Noxzema girl, or Keri Russell. Just a couple years ago, at a hotel in Arkansas, these guys thought for sure that I was Amanda Peet. Honestly, what would she be doing swimming at a hotel in Arkansas? Once when I was at a gymnastics meet, years and years ago, these little girls thought I was an important gymnast and they wanted my autograph, so I gave it to them. I wasn't sure who they thought I was so I just signed my own name. I'm sure when they got home they were like, "Who's Christine?"

6 YEARS OF WEDDED BLISS

Yup, that's right! This past weekend Jared and I celebrated our 6Th year wedding anniversary! Thanks Jared for such a great, well planned weekend. Also thanks to my sisters for watching our kiddos! Friday night Jared and I enjoyed a delicious dinner at The Landmark Restaurant. We both really liked the salad room. (A room full of interesting things to eat-and of course salad) Jared was brave and tried quail eggs, pickled watermelon, heart of palm, and several other unappetizing things. I played it safe as usual. It was fun cleansing our pallets for the main meal with sherbet ice cream. We will definitely try that one at home. That night we stayed in the Scottsdale Resort and I took full advantage, sleeping in till 9:30. I can't remember the last time I did that! We ended up eating our breakfast at Mimi's at lunchtime. Oh well! Later that day we headed to Scottsdale Fashion Square just because we could! Jared had a great time shopping in Lush (he was skeptical at first) and even walked out with soaps and fizzy bombs! Jared, I loved our weekend! Thanks for all of your hard work and for our beautiful boys. I love you and would never trade the past 5 years we've spent together. Happy Anniversary!

We were excited to get back to these little guys! Who wouldn't be?

My little guy Wyatt is growing up! I was on the computer yesterday organizing pictures taken almost a year ago, and I can't believe how much he has changed! He is not a baby anymore and he sure doesn't act like one either! Wyatt is so much fun to have around. I love watching him and find myself laughing at him all the time. He loves to be funny and make others laugh. Wyatt has always been such a happy person complete with a huge smile. Everyone loves him. He loves to play with his cars and now he even makes the noises. He knows all of the names of the cars he has, and the colors too and he can pick them out on the road. If he's ever cranky while in the car all we have to do is start calling out cars..."Oooh, there's a hummer, Wyatt! It calms him right away.
He loves puzzles, and is really good at them too. I like to think he's advanced, because the puzzles he puts together (on his own, mind you) are for 3-7 yr olds! :) He gets really excited when he obeys. Last night we had FHE and we were trying to get him to sit still through the lesson. If he obeyed we told him we would take him on a walk. He sat real still and even listened! When we were done he jumpedup, was really excited, clapping. Wyatt loves it when his dad comes home. He yells and screams when he hears the garage door open. Whenever the doorbell rings he thinks it is his cousin Abbey and he yells and screams for that too. Wyatt loves walks, running, playing on the playground (and is getting over his fear of heights), kids, and babies. He adores his brother Luke and can't wait for him to wake up in the morning or after a nap. He loves anything sweet and has great hearing...once I opened a bag of candy and poured it into a bowl and he came running around the corner asking for the candy! Hmm, I wonder who he takes after?
Wyatt is very particular and likes things in order. When he goes down for a nap or goes to bed at night he wants certain cars in his bed, and they have to be in a certain corner of the bed. It takes a long time to get it right! Also, before he goes to bed someone has to sing Keep the Commandments to him! He loves to read too. His favorite book is Hop On Pop by Dr. Seuss. What a funny kid! I love him so much and am thankful I get to be his Mom, even if he is growing up too fast.

HALLOWEEN!

We hope everyone had a great Halloween! We had a lot of fun, but are a little glad it's all over! I was getting tired of dressing up. Let me explain. To kick it all off, Jared and I were invited to a Halloween party where we won the toilet paper game (the first to get rid of their TP by wrapping each other up like a mummy), Jared won the scariest costume award, and I was one of the finalists in the brown paper bag game (Each person takes a turn picking up a paper bag with their mouth, without using hands. Once you pick it up you tear that piece off, so the bag gets smaller and smaller). That weekend we celebrated Abbey's (my niece) 2ND birthday at the park (Her actual birthday is on Halloween!). What a party! Tim and Connie did a great job with the decorations and we enjoyed pizza and hot wings, and of course homemade root bear. The following Monday we had our annual Halloween party with Jared's family, complete with an awesome haunted house! Wyatt was really scared of everyone, but warmed up towards the end after realizing the scary witch was just Grandma, and the scary vampire was just Julie! All of this, and Halloween hadn't even arrived yet! Finally on Wednesday we dressed Wyatt up for the last time and walked him around the neighborhood to get MORE candy, like he needed it! He had a blast and enjoyed seeing all of the other kids. I don't have the pictures of Wyatt and Luke because they're on our other camera, but I will post some soon. We thought Wyatt made a great Elvis and Luke was a cute Army man!
