BUSY BUSY

3 PARTIES DOWN...2 MORE TO GO.
Monday-Neighborhood pumpkin carving contest. I still think Jared's pumpkin should've won scariest...or he should've gotten an award for making something cool out of a totally deformed pumpkin!
Wednesday am-Wyatt's preschool party...lots of fun and really long! The party lasted from 8-11.
Wednesday pm-Ward party at the park. Wyatt was too shy to say "Trick or Treat." Luke walked right up to people and waited for some candy. At this point I'm all hot dog and chilied out.
Still to come...Actual Halloween
The Williams party
Abbey's party
The master carver himself.

Jared's new do. I think it actually works.

We have a couple of cheater's on our hands

Mater's here too!

NEVER AGAIN....

...will I want to sit anywhere but the 3rd row at a Suns game! Jared and I thoroughly enjoyed our Suns experience from the 3rd row (did I already mention that?) Monday night with our friends Darin and Alyssa. Thanks you guys!! The Suns did awesome. The game got really exciting towards the end and the Suns ended up winning after 2 overtimes. I just can't decide what I enjoyed most...the game, the 3rd row seats, seeing how tall Shaq really is, the delicious dinner, the brownies, cookies and popcorn at halftime, being with Jared...it was all so perfect!!

LATELY...

Usery Pass. Jared had Monday off so we woke up, packed up, and decided to go on a hike! The weather was beautiful! The boys LOVED it, especially Wyatt. Jared dressed Wyatt in his snow boots so it was pretty funny watching him try to walk/climb in them. Also, Wyatt wouldn't go "potty" before our hike, so he ended up having to go during the hike...he was so worried he would get it on his pants. Poor kid, but he was a trooper. The "potty break". Check out my fanny-pack. You know you're jealous.
Wyatt falls asleep on the floor almost every night. I told him if he didn't sleep in his bed that I would give it to Luke. He seemed pretty upset by that, so we'll see what happens.

Watching a movie. Luke thinks it great to sit on Wyatt's lap.

Think it's time I cut Luke's hair?...Nah, that's great bed-head!READING! Both Wyatt and Luke love going to the library. We always end up leaving with like 20 books! I need a shopping cart to carry them all out.

WHOOPS!

Yesterday after conference we went down to the cemetery where Jared's little sister, Camille, is buried. Camille would've been my age, but she had a heart defect and only lived 6 days. I cannot imagine what it would be like to lose a baby. My heart hurt as we walked around each little child's grave trying to find Camille's. I left feeling grateful for my 2 little guys.

Before leaving we attempted to capture a family picture...Hands to yourself, Wyatt! There we go

THE NAKED TRUTH

The other day Wyatt decided he wanted to do a little painting...in the nude.
  • Today at the park Wyatt got sand in his pants, so he decided to take them off...
  • When out in public Wyatt tells me he wants to go potty in the bushes...
  • A couple days ago Wyatt came into my room wanting to watch a movie...in the nude.
  • When playing in the dirt in the backyard Wyatt takes off his pants so he won't get them dirty...
  • Wyatt loves swimming in the backyard...you guessed it, in the nude!
Wouldn't it be something if we were all this confident??

TACKS

Alright, I'm just gonna throw this question out there....Has anyone else ever found their child fast asleep with tacks?...or am I the only one? Please don't call child protective services. I am a good mom....just not on this particular day. Although this was a few months ago I still remember walking past Wyatt's room to check in on him. At first I wasn't suprised to see that he had something in his bed (he usually sleeps with lots of cars or books), but after taking a closer look I realized he was sleeping among tiny sharp objects (and on top of them!). First thought?...Grab the camera, of course!

SUGAR

...Yes, sometimes I let Wyatt pick the marshmallows right out of the cereal...and yes, occasionally I let my kids eat candy right after breakfast. I figure if I'm doing it then how can I tell my kids no? My name is Christine and I am addicted to sugar...oh, and so are my kids. Yesterday Wyatt was in the other room watching a movie while I was in the kitchen unloading some groceries. I opened up a bag of candy very carefully so that Wyatt wouldn't hear (because he has come running in before asking for the candy) and sure enough he comes running in looking for the candy. I even went as far as to hide the candy behind something on the counter, but his expert candy sniffing nose sniffed it out and he found it right away! I was very proud. Another proud moment...One day I asked Wyatt what he wanted for breakfast to which he replied, "sugar." Luke's catching on as well. This morning he pointed to the cookies on the counter...clearly indicating that he wanted one for breakfast. Here at our house we don't worry about cavities or eventually losing our teeth...after all, we know a great dentist.
