FEELINGS

I am feeling so tired, but also so grateful! Little Levi has his days and nights mixed up worse than any of my kids. I am up all night with him...with hour intervals of sleep. I know it will pass and he will get better...but man, I am tired! Luckily Jared has been a true life saver. He decided to take the whole week off from work to be with the boys and to help me. He gets up in the morning with the boys and does everything from feed them, swim lessons, errands, dishes, cleaning up the house, bike rides, yard work...you name it! I am so grateful for him and for everything he has done this week. I love you Jared! By the way, is it really already Friday? I have to admit I am a little scared for the next week. I hope I can do this!

Baby
Levi John Williams
June 8, 2009
5:11 am
8 lbs 5 oz

Jared and I arrived at the hospital around 9 pm to be induced after dropping the boys off at his parents to spend the night. I found out I was still just dialated to a mere 1, but I was having some contractions on my own (and all along I thought they were just braxton hicks). My doctor arrived around 11:30 and broke my water (not fun) and Jared and I rested for the next hour or so until I decided to get my epidural around 12:30. My contractions were getting to be painful and I knew if I wanted to rest that I would need that beautiful epidural. It worked and we slept the night away until around 3:30 when the nurse came in and was a little worried about Levi's heart rate. She had me switch to my right side and then quickly told me to get back on my left. I was only dialated to about a 4 1/2. Levi didn't like it when I was on my right side, so I continued laying on my left. My left leg was completely numb. The nurse continued checking Levi's heart rate and then at 4:30 she came in again and asked if I was feeling any pressure and told me that Levi was doing some funny things...she checked me and said, "Dr. Huff's going to be mad at me..." I asked why and she said that I was complete! (Dr. Huff was planning on coming back at 6 am) It was a mad rush from there. Jared was completely out...I had to call his name like 3 times and tell him that we were ready. Dr. Huff was called and came within 20 min. My mother-in-law and 2 sisters were called...everything went really fast! I pushed for 3 min and baby Levi was here! My mother-in-law walked in right as Levi came. Unfortunately my sisters missed his birth and came right after. I was so happy that everything went really fast. Because my left leg was really numb and my right wasn't I was worried that I would feel something, but I didn't (thank goodness). Levi is so cute with his white hair, eyebrows and eyelashes. He looks a lot like Wyatt to us. I am so happy he is here with us and that he is healthy. We got home yesterday afternoon...it's good to be home. Wyatt and Luke are so cute around Levi. They love him and want to help all the time and share their toys with him. As we sat around the dinner table lastnight we all felt so happy to be together! Jared made the comment that we are now a family of 5! We are growing fast and I couldn't be happier (or more tired).

TOO LAZY TO UPDATE...

Well, sort of. I'm just really busy "nesting" right now and reading all of your blogs to post on mine! I will get around to it, though. Until then I am scrubbing baseboards, doing laundry, washing walls, etc. I even went out in the backyard and cleaned the grill. It's getting out of hand! Baby Levi should be joining us late Sunday night or early Monday morning. I am scheduled to go in at 8 pm Sunday night. I wish I would go earlier on my own...but I don't think that will happen...never has. We'll see.
Wyatt is all done with preschool this year and has been enjoying swim lessons along with Luke. Pictures coming soon...
