DISNEYLAND 2010

Oh how I love you, Disneyland! Wyatt, Luke, me and Jared decided to take a weekend trip to Newport beach. We spent a day at Disneyland and then the next day relaxed at the beach. Levi got to spend the weekend with Jessica and cousins...no doubt, as the center of attention and loving it. So, we didn't feel bad not inviting him.
We had a blast.
Turkey legs, cotton candy, churros, suckers, dinner at the Blue Bayou...
The favorite ride?...It's a small world...hands down the boys favorite. They were totally mesmerized and smiling throughout. They both said, "I love this place" over and over again. It made my heart swell knowing that it was one of my mom's favorite rides as a child...and it also made me a little sad wishing she could see their faces.
Wyatt was very brave and even rode some of the scary rides with mom or dad.
I enjoyed being able to spend more one on one time with the boys.
We were exhausted by the end of the night!

I sure love these little guys.
We have a good time together.
Sometimes I get a little busy during the day and for that reason I am glad they have each other to play with.
Today was different.
I made time to be with them...to play, to laugh, to teach...
and I had fun.
I was reminded of how much I love them...
and how much they really love me!
Wyatt melted my heart when he exclaimed, "I love this day, it's the best day!" while we were jumping on the trampoline with Luke.
I sure love these little guys.

Mmm

We love, love, love The Old Spaghetti Factory in Newport!
Where else would you want a glass of milk with your spaghetti?
Where else would you order a side of mazithra cheese?
Where else do you get a bowl of spumoni ice cream after your meal?
Mmm, I'm craving some spaghetti right now!
We really enjoyed our dinner, can you tell? Luke being silly while waiting to be seated. Getting excited for our meal. This is how Luke ate his whole meal. The Old Spaghetti Factory is not just a fantastically delicious restaurant for me.
It's tradition!
I have so many memories of my family eating their together.
Good and delicious memories.

OH BOY

A couple days ago I got an insight to what my future with 3 boys might look like. In the car after picking up 3 little boys (including Wyatt) from school I overheard a discussion about, get this, "hot girlfriends!!?" This coming from kindergartners! My ears perked up...Wyatt wanted to know what that meant? The other boy explained that "hot" meant "really, really pretty." He wasn't too sure what "girlfriend" meant, though. The boys all laughed, including me, but then it hit me. Lucky for me, Wyatt is still young, silly, and not too interested in girls (for right now at least), but I know that will change all too quickly. Oh, please stop growing up, Wyatt!

NEWPORT 2010

This day could possibly go down as the best beach day ever!
We (Jared, Wyatt, Luke, me-Levi was back at home having a blast with Jessica and the boys) spent the entire day relaxing, playing, eating, relaxing, frolicking in the waves (well, everyone but me...the water was waaay too cold)...
I think the best part for me was not having to chase after a 1 year old, but that I got to spend lots of time with my 2 older ones uninterrupted.
Levi is a joy, but he takes a lot of my attention.
I enjoyed building sandcastles with Wyatt and Luke, burying them in the sand, digging deep holes.
I also enjoyed sitting side by side with Jared, watching Wyatt and Luke run around and chase birds, and splash in the waves.
I really didn't want to leave (except that we were having dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory that night-that's another post).
The weather was beautiful.
I love the beach.

OH HAPPY DAY

Yeah! No more carpet under our dining room table!...
I don't know who decided to put carpet under the dining room table.
Not smart.
...and not my problem any more!
Hey, why not just put wood floor throughout the front of the house and hallway while we're at it?!
It's lovely!
I don't even mind sweeping and mopping...
Everyone got involved.
Luke was especially helpful.
A huge thank you and hug to Jared for doing ALL of the work.
I married a talented and smart man, I did.Who knew wood floors were perfect for dancing too?
Luke and Levi did.
They were funny breaking out the moves on the new floor.

PROUD SISTER

Yes, that's right... I am a new big sister.
Who would've thought, right?
But I love little baby Cooper...
and I couldn't be happier for my dad and Mickey. One proud big sister
Chance, Cole, Mickey, Cooper and Dad.
