I remember everything about that day....My life changed completely and has been different ever since. Wyatt was a long and skinny little man. He had these huge blue eyes, large mouth, and large nostrils. He was one-of-a-kind. Almost immediately I thought he looked like a "Webb." He was never "still", always kicking and moving his legs and arms. He couldn't stand to be swaddled. He slept really well in the hospital, and then didn't sleep at all once we got home. Poor little man was uncomfortable for many months. He spit up ALL THE TIME, layed on a "billy" blanket for the first months or so of his life (he had jaundice pretty bad) which also meant he had to get his heel pricked many times! He suffered from gas, ear infections, thrush multiple times, and didn't sleep through the night until he was at least 6 months. I am not complaining..this is just how it was. It was hard, but it was A LOT of fun too. It felt really good to have a family. I looked forward to the times when we were all together. It was fun taking Wyatt around with me. He was my little buddy. When I was pregnant with Luke I remember how much I worried about losing my little buddy, Wyatt, to another little buddy.
Wyatt has been a joy.
He is the perfect big brother.
He is smart, funny, compassionate (he takes care of me), and of course silly.
He is a good example and wants to do good things.
He is a pleaser.
He is affectionate and sensitive.
He is courageous and brave.
I love my Wy-guy.
For Wyatt's 5th birthday we invited 10 of his friends over for an iron man/pizza party. Instead of an elaborate cake this year we opted for some cupcakes.
Games were played.
Songs sung.
Pizza and cupcakes devoured.
Presents opened.
It was a fun day.
