oh holy night

Delicious dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Williams

Temple lights

Opening 1 present (pajamas)

Setting cookies and milk out for Santa

Oh, and don't forget the Reindeer!...(celery and carrots for Rudolph)

Tired kids who didn't want to go to bed...too excited

Tired parents who still had to do a little more wrapping

Christmas Eve started out with a yummy dinner of split pea soup with Jared's parents. Once our tummies were full we all drove together to see the temple lights, and then drove around looking for "winter wonderlands." (what Wyatt and Luke call houses all decked out with Christmas lights) Although we had to rush reading Luke 2, opening up a present, and setting out cookies and milk (due to our late night) we really enjoyed our time with Grandma and Grandpa Williams.

Last year Wyatt and Luke weren't too excited about opening up pajamas as their gift, but for some reason this year they were totally excited!...dancing and playing around. They really liked how their slippers made them slide on the wood floor.

*Wyatt's poor face...Just in time for Christmas morning pictures! He was trying to play with the big boys (cousins) and landed on his face on the skateboard instead of his belly...skinning his beautiful little face.

christmas 2010

I love marthastewart.com
I love decorating for Christmas (for any holiday, really)
I love sparkly things made with glitter
I love Christmas trees (that's why I decided to have 2 this year)
I love Christmas cards from friends and family
I love the nativity and wish I had room in my house for many more (some day)
I love presents under the tree
I love the twinkling lights and the Christmas music
I love baking treats
This year I got into the Christmas spirit a little early and couldn't wait to decorate my house. Yeah, I started decorating before Thanksgiving.
New decor this year included:
advent calendar made with socks (each day the boys would take one sock down and find a treat in the toe.)
sparkly Christmas trees made out of old magazines (thanks Connie for the idea)
sparkly star banner
homemade Christmas card banner (I was in Michael's one day and saw one for sale.."ha! I can make one", I thought...and I did!)
sparkly red and white striped candy
Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus

Oh my Levi...

You are one busy, busy little boy.

Most days you make me laugh and smile

Some days you make me sad

Often you make me crazy

But I wouldn't want it any other way.

You are into everything. Seems like just after I clean up a mess you made, you are making a new one right behind me.

You make me tired, yet I still can't wait to see you when you wake up in the morning.

You make me smile when you give me kisses (especially the "fishy lips" kisses) and tight hugs.

You make me laugh when you do your "fake" and very loud laugh.

You make me sad when you grab onto my legs or push me away from the counter when I'm making dinner.

I love it when you fold your arms during prayer and say "amen" and then clap because you did such a good job.

It makes my heart happy when you play with your brothers and call for them to come get you out of bed in the morning. ("Wyatt!")

I am frustrated when you get into my bathroom cupboards and throw everything out when I am trying to get ready quickly....and then I feel bad when I have to push you out and lock the door, but sometimes it has to be done.

I get upset when you play in the toilet or throw your food on the floor.

I am happy when you take a great nap and wake up with crazy hair.

I think you are cute when you talk on my cell phone ("hello", "love you")...and when you say "Daddy" whenever it rings or when you hear the door chime.

It brings a smile to my face when you sing in the car or talk to yourself.

I love that you love your blanket, your thumb, your dinosaur, and your bear.

I get worried when you climb up onto the table, the stools, or when you want to play in the front yard (and always run out into the street).

I feel bad when I realize you are being naughty because you just want attention.

I love it when you laugh because I am playing with you, chasing you, or tickling you.

I get tired of hearing you say, "mommy" (you say it when you want more of something too) all day, but I know I will miss it (and everything else) someday.

I can't believe you are growing up so fast.

I love you, my Levi.
